„The balls were distributed in refugee camps near Kobani and Orfa, at the border between Syria and Turkey. Because of rain, snow and cold temperature children spend the days with their families in tents. They have nothing to play with, as their toys were left behind. Therefore, the children were overjoyed, when they were given a play ball. Although the refugees urgently need clothes, food and medical help, to play is very important for the children. While running around and playing with the balls they can forget the bad situation they have to live in, for a short moment.”
